TIG Welder
Pay:
$23.22 /hr
Shift:
6am-4pm M-F Plus Overtime
A Welder “B” personnel is required to have the ability assemble equipment from drawings using varies welding procedures and varies different hand tools with minimal instruction from their supervisor.
 
Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings to plan the assembly of a wide variety of equipment
  • Ability to wire feed weld stainless steel metal which includes setting the wire feed welder to the appropriate setting for performing welds on horizontal or vertical surfaces and for performing overhead welds as required.
  • Ability to HeliArc weld stainless steel metal which includes setting the HeliArc welder to the appropriate setting for performing welds on horizontal or vertical surfaces and for performing overhead welds as required. Also required is the ability to perform all the previously mentioned welds with or without filler rod depending on the assembly situation
  • Ability to setup and operate the Seam welder efficiently and safely
  • Ability to setup and operate the Bug-O-welder efficiently and safely
  • Ability to setup and operate the Stud Gun welder efficiently and safely
  • Ability to setup and operate the Spot welder efficiently and safely
  • Ability to setup and operate the PlasArc efficiently and safely
  • Have a good working knowledge of a variety of shop power hand tools and how to use the hand tools properly
  • Perform duties within company guidelines with respect to quality and production times
  • Assist Welder “A” personnel in the performance of his duties
  • Follows OSHA LockOut-TagOut procedures when machines must be shut down for repair
  • Must be able to do the above task in a safe, clean and timely manner.
Requirements
  • Graduate of technical school, a full apprenticeship program, or completion of in-company four-year training program to satisfaction of plant training committee
  • One to Three years of experience as a Welder
  • Close attention and care is required to prevent damage to equipment
  • Ability to read job orders, blueprints and specifications
  • Ability to work with others under their supervision.
