Please accept this letter and my enclosed resume as application for the sales representative position at WXYZ FM that you advertised in the April 27th edition of The News-Times. I will graduate this May from Jackson University with a degree in Communications, and I am confident that I have the experience and enthusiasm required to meet your developing needs at WXYZ.

My interest in radio began in junior high school, when I began doing voice-oversee for radio ads as a teenager. In high school, I found my way into an internship with the local radio station, KLMN, where I successfully made my first ad sale as a 15-year-old intern. These positive early experiences led me to pursue my college studies in Communications and to gain as much experience in the radio business as I could through various positions at the Jackson University station, WBFD. In addition to my contributions as a disc jockey, announcer, and pinch-hitting sound engineer, I recently became the record-breaking air time salesperson for our station.

I welcome the chance to use my talents and experience in this business at such a quality station as WXYZ, and I look forward to the possibility of learning more from you and your staff, as well.
