Brass Machining Center Set-up & Operate
JOB SUMMARY:
Operate multiple pieces of equipment in the production of high volume: high precision component manufacturing. Operators are required to run daily machine, while making machine adjustments, tooling changes, and production part inspections as required. This position requires the inspection of components to quality work instructions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• 2-3 years of production machining experience including: cut-off, turning, boring, drilling & milling preferably with brass alloys.
• Must have adequate experience using measuring tools such as: micrometers, caliper’s and dial indicators.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and tolerance specifications.
• Operators must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 45 lbs in an oily environment.
• Requires standing, stooping, walking, twisting, kneeling, and turning.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and organization.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to load bars and coils manually or with a hoist.

QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Rotary Transfer Machining Experience (Hydromat & Mikron machines), preferred but not necessary.
• 5 years or more experience with tooling adjustments, set-up’s, change-over’s and troubleshooting quality or production related issues.
• Statistical Process Control experience a plus.
• Computer Numerical Control (CNC) experience desired, but not required for this position.
• Manual lather and milling experience a plus, but not required.
• Must obtain a fork truck license within 30 days of employment.
