CNC Operator II - snn
This list of duties is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
1. Maintain a safe working environment and performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
2. Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
3. Reads and interprets drawings, BOMS, cutlists, and other documentation.
4. Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
5. Select the appropriate materials, fittings, and tools for each task.
6. Plan an effective approach to work to ensure that each project is completed on time.
7. Perform setup operations.
8. Adjust and check out programming.
9. Operate numerically controlled machine tools to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring a high degree of skill.
10. Check parts for conformance to specifications.
11. May run more than one unit simultaneously.
12. May perform assembly or miter-fold operations at or on at an adjacent work center.
13. Clean, repair all equipment necessary for your work, including nester, pod/rail, edge bander, dowel, and hand tools.
14. Attend departmental meetings as required.
15. Define and improve routing times and design of routing flow between machines.
16. Work with co-workers on process and operation improvement initiatives.
17. Solve problems.
18. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability You will Need:
1. Proficient with many of the CNC machines in production line, including saw, nester, pod/rail, edge bander, dowel, and other power and hand tools.
2. Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
3. Communicate effectively with other team members.
4. Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and drawings to produce fixtures and solid surfaces within tolerances and specifications.
5. Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
6. Good arithmetic skills.
7. Attention to detail.
8. Ability to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing workmanship.
