CNC Supervisor
BASIC DUTIES:
To perform all duties of a Shift Supervisor and perform other tasks as assigned or requested.
POSITION DUTIES:
1. Monitor and assist with setups, efficiency and indirect labor of production employees.
2. Coordinate effective machine and employee utilization to achieve production goals.
3. Evaluate, Coordinate and assist in the training and development of production employees with respect to general shop practices, company policies, proper documentation, safety, and quality.
4. Assist Material Handler in coordinating efficient flow of materials.
5. Document vacation and attendance occurrences.
6. Perform minor maintenance on machines.
7. Perform documentation and investigation of on-the-job accidents.
8. Assist Product Engineering with new product start-up.
9. Document and notify the appropriate people of all machine problems and incidences.
10. Evaluates and facilitates or arranges training needs for personnel
11. Performs, new and transfer, employee selection
12. Initiates personnel actions and performs scheduled performance reviews through human resource policies stated in Employee Handbook.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
A. Education and Training
Two-year degree or four-year degree plus four years experience, or 10 years of
progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to clearly communicate with employees, peers, and management.
Experienced as a trainer, outgoing personality and ability to motivate people.
Continuous self improvement through training, classes, or seminars.
B. Experience
Ten years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment or 5 years experience as a supervisor.
Note: Requirements can be waived at the discretion of the department head.
