Engineer the electrical controls of the machine and associated systems, including:

-Selection and placement of sensors and actuators.

-Sizing of motor starters and variable frequency drives for motor applications.

-Creation of drawing packages; includes schematic panel layouts, device layouts, bills of material, power wiring drawings, and safety circuits.

-PLC/HMI programming.

-Work with other engineers and departments to maximize performance and minimize cost for integrating mechanical and controls design on each project.

-Perform equipment start-ups, both in house and at customer sites.

-Provide assistance in establishing engineering specifications.

-Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical

-Four years of experience in a similar industry or a Bachelor of Science degree.

-Programming skills of PLC's, - Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and fexcellent people skills are an essential attribute for this position.

-Project management skills. Able to support multiple projects simultaneously.

-Familiarity with basic estimating/accounting principles.
