• Utilize Hexagon Intergraph SmartPlant software (e.g. Spoolgen, Isometrics) to efficiently process material take offs using customer supplied IDF/PCF files and corresponding PDF drawings.
• Proficiently read and apply customer material specification requirements.
• Research material requirements utilizing industry standards, such as ASTM & ASME material standards, to ensure the correct material, including supplementary requirements, are applied to the project.
• Create and or check applicable internal material specifications that corresponds to customer related material specifications.
• Manipulate large quantities of data utilizing macros, formulas, etc. in programs such as Excel.
• Create standard and/or temporary material part numbers and descriptions as required to support project requirements.
• Ensure any project related material substitutions are addressed and approved through customer correspondence.
• Review project documents to ensure the applicable fabrication scope and corresponding material is properly accounted for.
• Process material take offs in order that corresponds to the customer priority and/or delivery dates.
• Coordinate with Project Management Department, Engineering Managers, Engineering Project Team members and other departments in a timely and accurate exchange of project related information/data.
• Participate in internal and customer related meetings for projects as necessary.
• Ensure all fabrication code requirements (e.g. B31.1, B31.3) and CLIENT's standard practices are being followed.
• Perform flexible contribution for all aspects of the Engineering - Piping process including spool checking, spool drafting, revisions or any other engineering duties as required to support project team deadlines and objectives.
