Key Job Duties:

-Design, detail, update and modify both simple and complex parts, assemblies, and weldments.

-Details and designs parts to make fabrication as efficient as possible.

-Create and maintain drawing BOM's and revision levels.

-Create and maintain quote drawings, approval drawings, plant layouts and simplified models for use internally and by our customers.

-Create shipping drawings of machines and PDF prints for manuals.

-Perform bearing, bushing, force and deflection calculations as well as belt and chain speed calculations.

-Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing and assembly of designs.

-Assist in other areas and performs additional tasks as needed.

Education/Training

-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field is preferred.

-Associates degree in a similar field with equivalent experience acceptable.

-2D-AutoCAD, 3D Inventor and Autodesk Vault Professional.

-Good computer skills.

-Excellent print reading skills.

-General understanding of mechanical linkages and components (i.e., bearings, sprockets, pulleys, pneumatics).
