MIG Tig Welder acd
We are hiring a skilled M1G / TIG welder with experience in open table fit up.
Successful candidate must be organized and capable of running their own project.
Primary Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and assembly instructions from a variety of prints Candidate must set up welding equipment to weld different parts or assemblies on steel and stainless Responsible for assembling structural metal products Weld and assemble metal products, verify specifications, and determine if all parts are present Operate industrial equipment such as saw, drill press, iron worker, and hand plasma Candidate needs to have the skills to change to different job types and complete jobs on time
Addition Responsibilities
Resolve fit up and assembly issues Ability to build prototypes Grind and clean work pieces Knowledge of leak free welding and testing on steel and stainless Follow proper maintenance of welding equipment Observe necessary safety precautions Other duties as directed
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required Basic math skills Perform standard measurements using a tape measure Minimum of 3 years' experience in MIG / TIG welding on steel and stainless Must pass a pre-employment weld test and fit-up assessment Skilled in the operation of hand power tools Ability to weld simple assemblies with little supervision Read blueprints with weld symbols and specifications Lift and position fabricated parts manually (up to 70 lbs.) Forklift operation (optional)
Physical Demands
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs. manually Ability to perform tasks involving long periods of standing Frequent stooping and/or bending
Work hours from 6am to 3:30pm Monday— Friday, paid OT
