Job Specific
Can assist with the operation of presses of various sizes and tonnages under supervision of mentor or lead
Can assist with coil changes and die setting under the supervision of mentor or lead
Assist with lifting, stacking and packing parts as needed
Handle minor rework or auxiliary tasks as required
Visually inspect part and also inspect parts by using template, sample or fixed gauges on a daily basis under the
supervision of mentor or lead
Cross train on other equipment as directed to ensure production needs can be met
Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed in the department.
Report labor hours by entering information correctly in the system
Understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Complete jobs to customer specifications in a timely manner
Maintain an orderly and clean work area at all times.
Understand and adhere to Capitol Stampings Quality policies, procedures and requirements.
Watch and anticipate potential problems associated with the punch press area.
Learn and follow all procedures associated with the Press Coil work area
Qualifications
Must have some high school or equivalent experience
Some production machine operation experience is preferred
Some QC and inspection experience using basic inspection tools is preferred
Must have and wear protective gear designated for the department.
Must have the ability to read/write and understand both verbal and written work instructions and customer
specifications.
Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be able to frequently stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools or controls.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and move from place to place.
Regularly be able to talk, listen, climb or balance and reach above shoulders.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth
perception.
