Essential Duties:
- Provide input and technical support to Seaming process development project teams, or manufacturing teams across the forming group.
- Lead Seaming productivity and quality improvement projects to ensure project goals are met within established timelines.
- Utilize advanced statistical tools and problem-solving skills to investigate, analyze and resolve difficult process or improvement issues in Seaming Department.
- Monitor industry trends and new technology, create innovative solutions to shape the site manufacturing operations.
- Occasionally travel to other sites, customer locations, and supplier facilities.
- Maintain safe work standards that meet all legal requirements.
- Maintain an environment that encourages a high levelof moral, legal, civic, social, and environmental awareness and behavior.
Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelor's degree is required. Preferred degrees in engineering, industrial hygiene, safety, or science.
- 2 years of experience leading the safety program in a manufacturing site.
- Excellent knowledge of OSHA safety and health requirements.
- 2 years of Supervisory experience in the manufacturing industry, or an experiential equivalency of at least 5 years in the manufacturing.
- Experience in forming or dryer manufacturing a plus.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with personal computer and office software.
