Job Summary
Manages an organization's business development efforts meant to generate, pursue, and close business with prospect accounts.
Job Duties
- Oversee implementation and administration of the organization's business development program
- Assess potential new markets, evaluate business opportunities, and develop strategies for targeting potential customers
- Establish and enforce standards governing lead generation, prospect contact and follow-up and opportunity qualification
- Coach a team of business development representatives in assessing customer needs and positioning the organization's products or services as potential solutions
- Track business development activities and report on results to management
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
- Experience in Sales or Account Management required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop a rapport with leadership and team members.
- Strong communication/presentation skills, verbal and written.
- Create and maintain project documentation
- Typically require a bachelor's degree in Business Management or Sales
- At least 5 years of experience
- Experience in manufacturing
