CNC Lathe Machinist Programmer jnf

Primary Job Functions:

· Interpret part drawings and other critical data to determine best methods of manufacturing.

· Program CNC machinery with the use of FeatureCAM

· Set-up and run components within part specifications (1-5 Pcs manufacturing quantities)

· Select and provide recommendations for tooling required to manufacture components.

· Inspect product, maintaining the highest levels of quality utilizing standard shop measuring equipment.

· Adjust machine parameters to compensate for variables encountered during the machining process.

Secondary Job Functions:

· OD & ID grinding

· Surface grinding

· Finishing operations & deburring

· Assembly of components & final product

· Disassembly & evaluation of work holding components returned for repair or refurbishment.

· General housekeeping and workspace organization

Requirements

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a CNC lathe Set-Up / Operator

· Must be familiar with Fanuc CNC controls

· Ability to read and alter G-Code programs

· Experience with CAM programming ( FeatureCAM preferred )

· Self-motivated individual who has strong attention to detail & workmanship

· Basic knowledge of GD&T

· Proficient using analog and digital metric hand measurement tools

· Proficient reading complex part and assembly schematics

· Experienced using technical mathematics in daily job functions

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with efficient machine changeover

· Basic knowledge of Microsoft office computer software

· Ability to communicate effectively within a professional environment

· Must be willing to work overtime as required.

· Experience with B-Axis lathe and live tooling is a plus
