Field Service Tech - 2 Needed ajc

For the field service technician, travel would be constant.  It would be ideal if they live within an hour of Waukesha so they could come into the office and plan out the trips.  I would say 80% would be travel.  For service it would mostly be within 2 hours of Waukesha, home most every night.  For install & startup it would be on the road mostly in the Midwest, but they need to have a passport as we have customers in Mexico.  Mostly working M – F, home on the weekends.  We have a Field Service Van with a Knapheid KUV so they can stay organized and have everything they need.  This would have some overtime as well.  I would say for little to no experience $ 25 to $ 30/hr.  Someone with experience in our industry and a great attitude $35 to $50/hr.

This multi-faceted role with a wide variety of job responsibilities includes:

• Electrical wiring and assembly, including running conduit and threading pipe.

• Reading schematics for electrical, gas, water, and air assemblies.

• Troubleshooting electrical, gas, water, and air assemblies.

• Working with industrial tools, including plasma cutters, grinders, light welding equipment.

• Working knowledge and experience with industrial power & control wiring, panel, and gas piping.

• Experience setting up and debugging industrial burners and gas trains.

• Working knowledge of PID controls, start-up and debugging processes.

• Experience with industrial controls including PLCs, HMI, and variable frequency drives.

• Performing electrical trouble shooting.

• Working with customers on equipment acceptance as well as equipment trouble shooting and service.

• Travel to customer sites, both local and international.

• Valid driver’s license.

• The ability to consistently demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and to effectively communicate within a cooperative

team environment with both internal and external customers.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Other duties may be assigned.

Required Experience:

• Position requires 3 to 5 years of related industrial experience.

traveling position and requires a valid passport.
