Roles and Responsibilities
Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limits.
Perform inspection on in process, purchased part and finished material and products, ensuring conformance to specifications.
Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders.
Determine disposition of finished product by collecting and analyzing: Judging product acceptability in comparison to specifications
Route product for re-work.
Maintain Gage Calibration System
Comply with all safety regulations and follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures.
Maintain Quality Assurance operations by following company policies and procedures
Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing goals and related tasks

Qualifications/Experience
Ability to read, comprehend part print/drawings and to perform a part layout
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
Knowledge of ISO 9001
Knowledge of gage calibration
Strong working knowledge / skills with precision measuring equipment i.e. micrometers, calipers, hardness tester, height gage and optical comparators
Ability to communicate clearly with management and manufacturing personnel
Experience
Requires two or more years of college or work experience. Course work in mathematics, sciences, engineering basics and communication skills preferred. Basic knowledge in elementary SPC with post high school courses in Quality Assurance and Control procedures preferred, along with strong written and oral communication skills.
Two or more years experience in various phases of production inspection and quality control techniques required to obtain sufficient background to perform full scope of duties.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
