Maintenance Technician jnf

This position will be adding to a team of 3. They will only be fixing the (40-50) machines and work out of a maintenance area – not actual machining.

Duties, Responsibilities, and Functions:

• Understanding of contactors, thermal overloads, and their roles in CNC equipment.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes ranging in size from 5 ton to 100ton.

• Ability to remove, rebuild and reinstall hydraulic pumps and cylinders.

• Thorough knowledge of gears, bearings and bushing installation and removal.

• Ability to navigate CNC controls from FANUC, Heidenhain and Siemens to aide in repair.

• Ability to remove and reinstall CNC machine spindles of various sizes and designs.

• Ability to efficiently diagnose electrical failures in CNC type equipment.

• Basic understanding of refrigeration relating to CNC machine chillers.

• Ability to move large CNC equipment, level, and anchor per manufactures

recommendations.

• Strong ability to navigate electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

• Ability to bend and install electrical conduit.

• Ability to solder copper piping ranging from %" to 2".

• Ability to remove, repair, and reinstall varying types of CNC machine way covers.

• Ability to climb, crawl and maneuver in cramped areas. Extensive walking is required.

• Knowledge and ability to complete an array of building and grounds type maintenance.

• Ability to service rotary screw type air compressors, such as oil and filter changes.

• Understanding of plastic injection molding equipment and related process.

• Understanding of PM programs and it related tasks.

• Ability to comfortably work from heights on ladders and aerial boom lifts.

Requirement:

• At least 5 years previous experience of being a well-rounded maintenance mechanic

• Advanced certifications in welding, electricity, or other related disciplines are desired

• CNC MACHINIST 5 AXIS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up, program, and run CNC machines — verticals, shuttles, bars, and 5 axis Understand and

select correct tooling

Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications

Ensure the CNC machines are operating at the highest level of productivity appropriate to the

assigned project

Review set up sheets and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence

and dimensions

Assemble cutting tools in tool holders and position in machine spindles as specified using hand

tools or insert cutting toots

Measure work piece for conformance to specification using measuring instruments such as

micrometers, calipers, dial indicator, and gages

Adjust machine speeds and feeds and change cutters to machine parts according to

specifications

Responsible for keeping work are clean and neat
