GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Loading (0.5)/Unloading parts (forklift & crane) (0.5) 1.0

Follow the plan and schedule defined by the Lead/Supervisor and production department.

Review work orders daily and identifies the material needed, locating and moving the right type and quantity of material in a timely and efficient manner and communicating with team members in the pick up or delivery area.

Deliver, gather and/or stage department materials to keep production team running.

Must operate all stand up and sit down forklifts used by the Company.

Must operate crane to assist in loading, unloading or moving materials and products.

Use pallet jacks for lifting or moving materials within department.

Assists in receiving incoming materials into the department, supplies and equipment. Compares received items to pick list to verify accuracy and quantity. Inspects materials for damage and defects and escalates issues to Supervisor.

Uncrates and assembles materials if directed. Remove and dispose of unneeded packing materials.

Makes sure that items are properly tagged and labeled.

Maintain and update status boards.

Resolve routine issues as they arise.

Must have the ability to work with hardware and put mechanical parts together.

Maintains good attendance and is on time and at work every scheduled day to ensure business demands are met.

Will have to track time assigned to each job for costing purposes. Must clock all time in DCS including productive, non-productive, rework, training, lunch and breaks.

May cross-train and be required to work in other areas. Will receive the process knowledge point value for each area trained in after successfully passing an audit for that area. If an employee receives a process knowledge point for one of the areas, they are expected to perform work in that area within the time standards per the process standards.

Assist in training other employees in process knowledge areas, if employee has a process knowledge point in those areas.

Comply with all company policies, procedures and rules.

Perform additional duties and work in other areas as directed by the Company, including housekeeping tasks and all other duties as assigned.

Be at your workstation on time at the beginning of shift, and when the shift/break bell rings at the start and end of breaks.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, effectively prioritize tasks, and efficiently multitask. Proficiency in interpreting assembly documentation, including drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

Ability to be perpetually on the move to transport materials from one place to another and travel between workstations and departments.

Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics.

Reliable with excellent attendance and a commitment to adhering to the company's Time & Attendance policy.

Must successfully complete Forklift Operator Training & Test, with the capability to operate all necessary forklifts.

Must successfully complete Crane Operator Training & Test with proficiency in operating all required cranes for the role.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

• The position requires a high school diploma or GED.
