CNC Mill Setup Operator / Programmer act

BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The machine setup operator/programmer will setup, program, and, if needed, run CNC milling equipment to produce parts and components.

· Setup and program CNC mills; Mazak VTC, Mazak HMC, WIA (Mazatrol and G-Code)

· Work with Engineering on fixture design and implementation

· Carry out machine operation, production, inspection, and packaging duties as needed

· Identify and implement continuous improvements of processes and machine/setup times

· Read and fill out necessary paperwork, quality documents, travelers, and time sheets

· Assist engineering and quality technicians and obtain information as necessary

· Maintain a safe and clean work space

JOB SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Experience in CNC mill programming and setups, 5+ years

· Mazatrol experience preferred

· Expert GD&T and blueprint reading skills

· Experience with the use of basic machine measurement tools to verify setups; micrometers, snap gages, bore gages

· Good math skills

· Requires mechanical aptitude, conceptual skills, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn

· Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and stand for an eight-hour work shift
